Overview

The East Tour is the most versatile tour in our program, as you get to walk on an actual Levada walk, see the forest, also the highest peaks of the island and visit the best distillery on the Island. You will get to visit some of the iconic points of the Island while taking the old roads through the mountains and coastline. All our tours are done in Minibuses up to 8 people

Highest altitude you can get by car (1818 mts/6060 ft) , here you can see the most amazing mountain views and enjoy nature to it's fullest

Here you can visit the typical houses of Santana. These were the typical houses among farmers, shepherds , normally located in the mountainous regions of the Island. Here you can also grab something to eat in the local restaurants as well as enjoy the beauty of this lovely town

Balcoes de Ribeiro Frio

Here you can do a levada walk to the viewpoint of Balcões in Ribeiro Frio, Santana. Here you have the opportunity to see a real levada, and better than seeing it...is experiencing it

Ponta de Sao Lourenco

The eastern tip of the island. Here you will have some of the best views to the coastline of Madeira, particularly the southeast coast. You can even walk a bit on the path to São Lourenço and enjoy the wonderful scenery.

One of the oldest towns of the Island, very well known for its sunny weather and sandy beach ( imported sand from Morrocco). Here you can visit the center of the town or take a nice walk alongside the lovely promenade of Machico

Visit the newest skywalk on the island! It's located on the east side, in the area of Faial in Santana. An incredible view overlooking the town of Faial, the Eagle Rock and the northeast coast

Porto da cruz is a lovely town on the northeast side of Machico, where you can visit a lovely rum distillery that still works with steam powered machinery. You can also walk around the town or the promenade. You can also see a very popular beach for surfing right next to the distillery.
