Overview

This is a must do for any visitor!! You will have the opportunity to observe some of the most important landmarks on the Island: variety is the keyword. We will stop in Câmara de Lobos fishing village and in Cabo Girão, the highest sea cliff in Europe.

Heading towards the north coast, we pass through the plateau of Paúl da Serra and reach one of the most popular villages in Madeira: Porto Moniz. Finally, we visit the beautiful villages of Seixal and São Vicente.

Camara De Lobos
Believed to be the original landing point of portuguese discoverer João Gonçalvez Zarco, this parish name is a derivation for "seals" (Lobos Marinhos). Famously known for it's beautifull fishing bay and a place where Churchill once visited and made one of his paintings.

Cabo Girao
The highest skywalk cliff in Europe, made of transparent glass providing stunning views to its visitors. This diamond-shaped sea-cliff is at 589 meters above sea level. This location also provides amazing views over Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

Ribeira Brava
Located along the southern coast, this parish gained its name due to its river, which translates to "angry river". A scenic parish encompassed by mountains and turned to the sea is a place not to miss.

Caminho Real da Encumeada PR12
North of Ribeira Brava, the road goes through Serra d'Água where theisland's first water power station was built, arriving at the top of the valley offering incredible views of both north and south coast.

The most extensive plateau of Madeira with almost 24 square kilometres at 1500 meters. A place to be admired by its flora and amazing scenery.

Miradouro do Veu da Noiva
This parish, part of the municipality of Porto Moniz got its name from the abundance of pebbles on the beach. Offering staggering views from the sea level towards the cliffs and also famously known for the Bride's Veil waterfall (Véu da Noiva).

Sao Vicente
This council, surrounded by two high cliffs in both sides, is a place like no other in the island. At the edge of this village, directly next to the sea, lies a great boulder where the first chapel was built.
