Hop on hop off

This is a great tour! You can sit up top if the double decker bus. It's open and see everything. They give you new unused ear phones to plug in and hear about the area. You can pick your language also. They play music when not telling you about the area. You see an area you want to see you can hop off and walk around and hope back on the next bus. Well worth the cost. About $18.00 us dollars.

The bus tour was great . It stopped outside of our hotel so we could use it instead of a taxi. The commentary was excellent and gave us so many interesting facts. The bus drivers were very polite and helpful as were the staff in town. Would certainly recommend it.
Good fun

Well worth doing. My husband loves these tours so we got a 48 hour ticket. We went as far as the fishing village, had a wander around and got the smaller yellow bus to the glass floor view point. Well worth it.
The drivers and staff are friendly and the buses are clean. The commentary has been translated in some places a little oddly but it kind of adds to the charm!
Very good bus tours

Very good value for money, a 5-day 3 in 1 bus cost us €25 per person. The audio tour is good for little facts and information, but it’s very pleasant to sit up top on a nice day and just watch the beautiful landscape without having to listen. Nice to do for a day and much cheaper and less regimented than a guided tour. Lovely visits to Câmara de lobos, pico de Barcelos, Cabo Girao and Funchal, and much more, depending where you choose to hop off. Once you’ve completed the tour, it’s also useful to use as general transport, since it stops at many hotels and can transport to Funchal, whilst avoiding the walk. The only thing to watch out for is the timetable- supposedly a bus comes every 35 minutes or so, however most places do not have a timetable as to when you can expect a bus, so it is easy to end up waiting for a while, unsure when you’ll be picked up.
Ok. Adequate at best

Did the route more than once on a 5 day ticket. The recorded commentary is at best average and frankly that’s being over fair.
The last bus from Stop 1 is 5pm, so Yellow Bus must assume Madeira has the night life of North Korea.
