A perfect Levada walk!

Liana was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable and done a fantastic job checking on everyone in the group. It starts at the highest point and works it’s way down so can be tough on the knees but it is mostly flat. Some stairs up and some stairs down but Liana makes sure we stopped for breaks if need be. We specified a packed lunch to be made up and this consisted of a sandwich, banana, apple, Kit Kat and a bottle of water. We brought 2 extra waters per person (your going to need it). The fountains are spectacular and very peaceful. It says on the website you can swim but it’s very rocky terrain and would be hard getting in and out I also think there probably wouldn’t be enough time. I’d recommend this walk to everyone as the website says the difficulty is moderate and I’d strongly agree with that. Thank you Madeira Adventure Kingdom.

A really good walk. It doesn't require a very good fitness level. The landscapes are amazing, the guide was excellent, offering us a lot of interesting info. The tunnel experience was amazing. I would strongly recommend this tour.
Wonderful levada walk

We had a great time with our guide Fábio and our small group (approx. 12 people) at this beautiful levada walk which we highly recommend! We‘ve booked the tour directly over the website of the agency which was very easy. Communication and transportation were very good and safe. The hike is not too difficult and also suitable for people with moderate condition, although I would recommend wearing good shoes. Of course there are quite some people on the hiking trail as it is one of the most famous (if not the most famous) levada walks, but it was perfectly fine like this and the 25 fountains were totally worth a visit! We‘re looking forward to book again with Madeira Adventure Kingdom and Fábio!
Excellent

Our tour guide was excellent - she was knowledgeable and engaging. We learned lots about where we were walking and also something of life in Madeira too. The scenery was spectacular and our 7 and 9 year old found it totally do-able. The tunnel at the end was longer than we expected and a bit more daunting - but a fun experience too.
Great walk

Great guide fantastic forest, but there are a lot of up and down steps which test your fitness, there is a toilet stop at the beginning but it will be a least four and a half hours till the next toilet. Also you walk along a lot of narrow paths with big drops to one side, if you dont like heights maby this walk is not for you
