Excellent walk with a very knowledgeable guide who was a keen botanist. There were 8 in our group. It wasn't too strenuous though you needed to be relatively fit as our walk took 5 1/2 hours to complete. Wonderful varied scenery, first along a levada, then up a rocky path towards the coast. Then another incredible walk high up along the coast with amazing views, you wouldn't want to suffer from vertigo ... Finally through eucalyptus, pine and mimosa trees down to Porto Cruz(?) Where we stopped for coffee in a cafe alongside the crashing surf. Stunning day and thoroughly recommend.
