What To Expect

Camara De Lobos
The first stop is in the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, a bay that used to be full of sea wolfs (seals) and where we can find one of the first buildings of the island - a Chappel dated from 1424.

Hold your breath as you walk along the glass platform in Cabo Girão, at 580meters/ 1902feet high, and enjoy the wonderful views.

Ribeira Brava
Get to know the village of Ribeira Brava, where you can visit the 16th century church with its beautiful Italian crystal chandeliers, as well as the local market, with regional fruits and vegetables.

Pico Ruivo do Paul da Serra
The plateau of Paúl da Serra stands out from the rest of the island for its extensive flattened area, where the biggest undergroung water tables are located, from which a lot of the springs and waterfals start.

Posto Florestal Fanal
Fanal will stay in your memory as a magical forest, with its fetid laurel ancient trees, some prior to the discovery of the island in 1419. In a foggy day you will go through a mystical enchanted forest, beautiful and unique.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools
In Porto Moniz there is a stop for lunch (not included on the price of the tour, but the driver will make some suggestions so that you can enjoy a traditional meal). Here you can see the natural lava rock swimming pools, formed in the last phase of Madeira island’s vulcanism. You can go for a swim (entrance fee not included) or just wander around enjoying the fantastic views.

Pass through Seixal, to observe the sandy beach and the “Bridal’s Veil” Waterfall.

Sao Vicente
